![]() This ‘something’ is in the form of a syringe containing some manner of drug, which he jabs into Emil’s neck. Yura thinks he’s a wuss and tells one of his men to bring… something… to him. Almost immediately the men involved in the fight are statue-fied, but before the effect can reach Red Eye Emil stops, crying to Yura that he doesn’t any more innocent people dragged into range of his attack. ![]() Yura expresses his condolences by shoving Emil in the right general direction and ripping his blindfold off. He’s afraid that if he uses his power, the men still fighting against Red Eye will be petrified as well. Yura explains that while the rest of the troops are fighting against the lesser Legions, Emil is going go in and petrify the Red Eye.Įmil says that’s a terrible idea. The men drag Emil out of the truck and pull him in front of Yura. He orders his men to bring forth The Ultimate Weapon. Yura makes an executive decision and deems capturing the Red Eye impossible (thankfully), so they’ll just have to destroy it. (The liner notes find it necessary to mention that the immediate result of this is that Kaine is now caked in human viscera as Grandpa’s internal organs got spattered all over here. Before she can get more information, the Red Eye crushes him. Panicking, Kaine runs up to them, and Grandpa manages to tell her that something drastic is going to happen to this world, and he regrets getting her involves. Before she can be killed, however, Grandpa steps into the scene and takes the attack instead, getting himself impaled by the Legion’s spear. She returns to the scene in time to see Kali being attacked by one of the Legion troops. Kaine tells Nier and Yonah to get away, and when Nier asks what will happen to her (Kaine), Kaine responds that she had to go back for her grandparents. He is even more concerned when one of his men comes forward to tell him that the Legion troops are apparently originating from the Red Eye’s stomach. Yura is slightly concerned by this development. Yura orders the p-22 to attack harder the P-22 responds that it can no longer function. Out in the front yard, Yura’s fight with the Red Eye is going surprisingly well until the Red Eye exhibits the curious ability to spontaneously develop an extra set of arms (a surprisingly common theme for this game, just you wait) and attacks the P-22 with renewed force. Grandpa pulls her back, urging her to stay away from the house. They are reunited, and I’m sure it’s very sweet, except Kali is shrieking about how her house is on fire. Meanwhile, Nier finally manages to squeeze his way to where Yonah and Kaine are huddled away from the fighting. Yura orders it into grapple mode, because I’m sure that will work. Unfortunately, it’s already taken combat damage and the majority of its weapons systems are malfunctioning. Yura orders the P-22 to fire off its payload at the Red Eye. Yura laments that their time was short, but they all died honorably on the battlefield and he’ll be sure (once this is all over) to go through due process to make them heroes. One of the men protests that the soldiers will be caught in the crossfire. Yura orders his men to get ready to fight the Red Eye and blast it to hell. Kali suspects this may not be a good thing. His orders were to keep the family safe, not destroy the Red Eye. She tells Yura to get rid of the Red Eye, and Yura shouts back that he’s doing exactly what he was told to do protect them. Kali complains in the background that she’s unhappy with Yura’s rather overzealous tactics and expects he may destroy the mansion before the monsters do. ![]() As the fighting outside escalate, Yonah admits to Kaine that she’s scared, and Kaine comforts her by reminding her of the soldiers guarding them.
